1. What is it like to be employed in door to door sales? What products do we sell?

You will be joining a growing group of individuals who are going out to meet customers personally and explain current product benefits, particularly in the cable industry. Regular advertising has become very expensive and it lacks the response of face to face contact that closes the sale. You are selling a desired product and 90% of the time, you are providing a savings for the customer.
  AT this time, CJ Grant focuses on the cable industry but we are looking at other fields as well and will be developing new concepts as we grow.

2. How much money can you make? What are the average numbers?

The financial possibilities are very good, this company has written WEEKLY checks to reps for over $2,000 and those performers make money consistently. Our average check is in excess of $600.00 which includes new team members who have never done this type of work before.

3. How many hours a week and what is the typical schedule?

We hire people for a full time forty hour week and some of the more ambitious reps work longer hours than that. This is a job that will return according to your effort but it does give you the flexibility to schedule your time. You need to be available when your potential customer is able to see you.

4. Where do I get the leads and are they qualified or exclusive?

The leads come for our clients and they are qualified to a certain extent, where there is information available. The leads are not multiplied assigned; your leads are yours to sell for a long enough time that you can do follow-up as you see necessary. No one will take your lead in process.

5. Is there any future in this work?

If you want to work strictly in the sales area, you can be doing that in this industry for years. But, if you have ambitions to move ahead, we are looking to identify team leaders and have needs for managers that will grow as we grow. We are committed to promotion from within the company and we believe that our future is exceptionally positive.

6. What is a 1099 contractor?

You will work as an independent contractor and will be able to set your own hours and days. This means you can work as many extra hours as you wish to grow your compensation; you are paid on your sales not your time. Your pay will be the total compensation due to you and we are not required to deduct any taxes from the pay. These payments and filings are your responsibility. If this is the first time you have been compensated in this manner, we will help you find guidelines about what to do to manage your tax responsibilities.

7. Are there changes coming in the future that will affect the way I work?

The changes that have been happening in direct and door to door sales have been positive. More business categories have been trying this method to reach customers as other forms of marketing have become less personal. And for the team member, we are able to use technology to communicate with our client to get immediate information for our potential sale. We can be more productive and successful as we grow to meet the needs of the market.
